Cambridge United keep hold of sought-after players this summer
Cambridge United have resisted summer transfer interest in several members of their promotion-winning squad, manager Neil Harris has revealed. The U’s retained every contracted player despite external approaches, with Harris praising the club’s environment for keeping talent in League Two.

Harris confirmed some out-of-contract players left after last season, but every remaining squad member is still tied down. He called the retention a credit to the club’s culture and player performances.
“We’ve had interest in our players this summer, which has been a little bit unheard of in recent years,” Harris said. “We don’t pay bundles of money, so it’s credit, not just to what we’ve built, but to what the players have delivered as well.”
