Cambridge United is hosting a free open training week for girls across eight regional development centres from Monday 5th October. The sessions offer a direct pathway into the club's formal female development programme for the upcoming season.

The club said it is "pleased to announce" the initiative, which runs from October 5th to 9th. Official Cambridge United coaches will deliver the sessions at a venue of each participant's choice. Registration is required via an online form, with enquiries directed to ydgirls@cambridgeunited.com.

Attending players who impress may receive an invitation to join the structured development pathway. This investment in the women's game comes as the first team enjoys a strong start to the League One season. Their recent form includes a 2-1 home win over Reading last weekend.

The next challenge for the senior side is an away trip to Oxford United on Saturday. Fans can track the full schedule on the club's fixtures page and view the current standings. The open training week for girls begins on October 5th.
